Thoroughly enjoyed your podcast with Don Thomas and Doug Borland. I’ve enjoyed their writing for years and it’s nice to put a voice to a face.

It never ceases to amaze me the knee jerk reaction (reflex) hunters have toward conservation issues. The big tent movement has done a good job of convincing hunters that you must be either on one side or the other and if you are in favour of one issue you are automatically in favour of another. Reflex is the optimal word, since a reflex is something that happens without concious thought. By responding in this manner we (hunters) become easily manipulated. Even experienced hunters that I would expect to have put some thought into these issues (such as on trad bow forum), seem to turn complex issues into an us vs them, good vs evil scenario. In this day and age where information is presented from multiple (unknown sources) without the benefit of a filter we must become better criticle thinkers.

Of course I may just be part of the hidden green agenda. Thanks again for the excellent podcast.
